Monaghan Institute of Further Education & Training

This Institute was established by Co. Monaghan VEC to improve the employment
prospects of its students and to strengthen the local economy by promoting enterprise
and technology generally, and by achieving the highest standards of excellence in the
Specialist Training Courses provided here.

Accordingly, MIFET offers and will further develop the following:

·          Full-time PLC Training Courses for School Leavers and Mature Students

·          A range of Training Services to local Business, Industry and Commerce, in conjunction with third-level Institutes in Ireland and abroad (external expert staff will be brought in as necessary).

·           A range of part-time Vocational Training Courses for local adults - whether employed or unemployed.

·          All MIFET students take a range of Specialist Subjects, in their chosen field of study along with Computer Studies, Communications and Work Experience.

The emphasis is on participative learning, through theoretical and practical
course work and related projects.
The Institute's Social and Recreational Programme is organised by students,
with advice and assistance from Institute Staff.
