The ‘unsung heroes’ of the office get their voices heard!

The country’s top PAs will receive due recognition for their central roles supporting Ireland’s leading business people on November 8^th next at an Awards Ceremony held to celebrate Ireland’s unsung office heroes!

The search is now officially on to find Ireland’s top Pas, Secretaries and Executive Assistants who play a pivotal and critical role in Irish businesses and organisations. Organised by pa-assist.ie, Ireland’s only resource and information website for Office Professionals, the Awards, now in their fourth year, will be presented at their annual awards ceremony on November 8^th.

The coveted PA Awards include Financial PA of the Year; Professional Services PA of the Year; Medical and Pharmaceutical PA of the Year; Sales & Marketing PA of the Year, Training, Education & HR PA of the Year and the Oscar of the Awards - The Overall PA of the Year for 2007.

We encourage business managers from all sectors to nominate their PA , Secretary or Executive Assistant who fulfils criteria such as excelling in their role of support services, exceptional skills in office management, performance of their tasks with confidentiality and confidence; showing a commitment to efficiency and capability to working on own initiative and are pleasant and caring within the work place.

Launching the 2007 Pa-assist.ie PA of the Year Awards was well-known broadcaster and Awards MC Marty Whelan, the 2006 winner Alison Ladrigan from GE Money and former PA, model Sarah Clohessy.

Hundreds of nominations poured in last year from CEOs, Chairs, MDs and company directors who all felt their hard working PA deserved to have their chance in the limelight and pa-assist.ie hope to double the number this year!

The winning PA in 2006 Alison Ladrigan was Ireland’s answer to ‘Wonder Woman’. Being a mum to two small children, the PA to the Chief Executive of GE Money had also recently walked 100km in Cambodia for charity …and all in her stride!

Following the Awards this year’s Top PA of the Year will be able to leave the office behind and take to the sun drenched shores of Sardinia where they can wallow in the first prize of a private villa with pool …and turn their mobiles off…or maybe not….
